Genevieve is a bilingual consultant at Stratos with over three years of experience providing strategic policy and project support, with a strong background in research and writing. Having conducted research for various academics and professionals, Genevieve has developed the skill of tailoring her findings to both the audience and the client. Regardless of the topic, she has consistently proven her ability to deliver specialized content with varying degrees of depth of analysis, from plain language summaries to detailed reports.

Specialty: Genevieve is passionate about her work in sustainable resource governance, specifically regarding fisheries, oceans, and mining in Canada.

Work at Stratos:

  • Genevieve has provided technical and facilitation support for stakeholder engagements and workshops for clients in the fisheries and oceans sector, such as the Department of Fisheries and Oceans, Environment Canada, and the World Wildlife Foundation.  
  • Genevieve has provided analytical, strategic, and secretariat support for a range of clients in the mining sector, including the Mining Association of Canada, El Dorado Gold, and Glencore.

Prior Work Experience:

  • As a Research Assistant at the Smart Prosperity Institute, Genevieve supported and led several research projects on themes related to natural resource development and governance, such as the circular economy and artisanal and small-scale mining.
  • As a Development Officer at Global Affairs Canada, Genevieve supported multi-million-dollar projects at various stages of the project management life cycle, from the initial assessment of proposals to project reporting to the monitoring and evaluation of project progress.

Genevieve enjoys consulting as it allows her the opportunity to listen and learn about the unique challenges, perspectives, and lived experiences of people and communities across Canada. This continuous learning allows Genevieve to bring a more holistic perspective to her work at and advise accordingly.
