Senior Consultant, BA, MSc

Kathryn gets her energy from tackling ‘wicked’ problems and developing innovative, collaborative solutions. A strong analyst with an interdisciplinary background, she excels at mapping out complex issues and identifying pathways for success.

“What I appreciate most about my role at Stratos is hearing directly from clients about the challenges they’re facing and visualizing what success could look like for them,” says Kathryn. “That’s what gets me excited to come to work.”

Joined Stratos: 2017

Specialty: Kathryn works across the private, public, and civil society spheres, providing a variety of services from research to strategic implementation. In her time at Stratos, she has supported: the development of materials for in-person and online training courses, the design and execution of workshops, the reporting for several strategic planning processes, the design of organizational capacity-building exercises, as well as the research and analysis for multiple performance benchmarking projects.

  • Master's of Science, Environmental Sustainability, University of Ottawa, in progress
  • Bachelor of Arts, Environmental Studies, University of Ottawa, 2014

After seeing firsthand how the physical Arctic environment is changing on a geomorphology field course in Yukon and Alaska, Kathryn was motivated to explore some of the indirect, human impacts of climate change. As a part of her Master’s, she examined regional visions of successful economic development in Nunavut, with a focus on opportunities for greater Inuit self-determination and benefit. She carries the learnings from this work into her role as a consultant at Stratos.
