
REBECCA LAFONTAINE
Rebecca joined the Stratos team in October 2019, bringing exceptional skill in designing and managing large-scale events that target underrepresented populations, implementing data solutions, and developing materials for senior executives. As a consultant, she works on facilitation and engagement projects and supports the Stratos teams’ internal growth and development. Rebecca is involved across a variety of sectors and service areas through the Natural Resources Management (NRM) Impact Area Team. Her clients include Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami, Mackenzie Valley Environmental Impact Review Board, Government of Nunavut, and Crown-Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada. With a background in community health and harm reduction, Rebecca holds an understanding of on-the-ground socio-economic inequities and channels this sensitivity in her work.
Prior to joining Stratos, Rebecca worked at Mining Association of Canada and Shepherds of Good Hope. Rebecca is also an active volunteer in her community.
Rebecca has an Executive Office Administration Diploma from Algonquin College. She also has certifications and training in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, Active Listening and Communication and Suicide Prevention. Rebecca was born in the Algoma Region of Northern Ontario and is a proud citizen of the Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO).
